AC is a must in puerto viejo to keep the woman happy. $65 got it done with a king size bed, jacuzzi in bathroom, clean, pool ,and its away from crackheads in puerto viejo. huge bonus**** $14 all you can eat sushi!!!!! they bring you a tray of rolls and couple sashimi pieces. soup (yum), if you can eat more order what you want, they will make it. plus a wonderful sweet and sour pork (enough for 2).

the guy running the place was great. woke us up with knock at the door, called 5 cabs until 1 picked us up, made us breakfast, and was cool the whole time at 7am (thank you!!!).

note: avoid the beach for at least a km in each direction from the hotel. reef/ reef/ reef perfect for salsa brava surfers!!!!

This is a great place to stay in Puerto Viejo. Room is air conditioned, has a jacuzzi tub, and a very good restaurant downstairs (Lotus Garden). It is a hundred yards from another very nice restaurant (Salsa Brava) and an excellent part of the beachfront in Puerto Viejo. We had a comfortable balcony to watch the activities on the street in front of the hotel, or you might choose a room facing the relaxing garden. Unique Asian styling with beautiful dark hardwood walls and floors and a four poster king size bed. We loved it!

  Jordan's Jacuzzi Suites is really nice. I think that it is the best place by far to stay in Puerto Viejo. I found the service to be top notch and the accommodations very comfortable and affordable. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of...and the food in their restaurant, Lotus Garden, were among the best meals we had on our trip. I'd recommend this place. Its affordable and really romantic, actually.

  If you´re in the mood for sushi this is the place. Made with a caribbean twist and using local ingredients. Good!! Nice setting too.
 
  Lotus Garen Restaurant: Jordan's Jacuzzi Suites Satisfaction:
This was the best meal we had on our trip. The seafood is so fresh and the sushi is endless and actually quite affordable. We ate like kings and queens! We decided that we liked this place so much that we inquired about the cabinas in the back. They were these amazing rooms for rent which were really romantic and had air conditioners and jacuzzis in the room! We were amazed! This is the hidden gem of Puerto Viejo. Our next trip, we plan to stay here...the hotel part is apparently called Jordan's Jacuzzi Suites. Jordan is this great guy from Chicago of all places, and the whole place has a real family feel. We plan to make it our home away from home when we return to PV.

Jordan's Jacuzzi Suites offers 9 Suites, that range from $60 to $90. The $60 Suites are the smallest but always have the king-size beds (as do all Suites) air conditioning and Jacuzzi tubs. The $70 Suites have bigger bathrooms and a mini-bar and are on the second floor, with balconies (one facing the ocean and the other facing the pool and gardens) with have high vaulted ceilings. The $80 and $90 Suites have Cable TV, minibar and bigger bathrooms still. The $90 Suite is quite big and has a seating area with sofa and chairs, along with two interior Japanese Zen rock gardens.

All Suites have only one bed, king-size, and all have air-conditioning and Jacuzzi tub. The swimming pool is available to all hotel guests as well as the restaurant guests.

  The hotel (JORDAN'S JACUZZI SUITES) is just a few feet from the beach, part of THE LOTUS GARDEN JAPANESE HOTEL & RESTAURANT. Each bungalow is spacious and decorated differently with an exotic (Japanese) flair. The room we stayed had a beautiful handmade stained glass door, four poster king size bed, beautiful wooden furniture, sitting area, great bathroom with a Jacuzzi and a beautiful outdoor Japanese rock garden. This is a place where you could feel the serenity of being isolated without being in the middle of nowhere. The owners and the staff are very accommodating and would go out of their way to make you comfortable.
 
  I have great memories of this place and my stay here. I have no doubt your stay would be as wonderful.
 
  Unique Qualities: Rooms are very spacious. The restaurant doubles as a bar/lounge/cafe, serves great fresh seafood and sushi (and anything else you request). There's a small library, a place for Shiatzu massage and Tai-Chi as well. Even though it is close the main street it is pretty quite here.
 
  We took a few day trips through Lotus Garden to a secluded beach in Manzanillo (It is the last town at the end of the road before Panama)for a picnic, a hiddden waterfall in Bri Bri, Parque Nacional Cahuita, Limon where we saw plenty of monkeys, a sloth and beautiful birds.
       
  Distance from Lotus Garden to Bri Bri waterfall: 15 miles, 10
  kilometers, or 20 minutes by car. Distance from Lotus Garden to Manzanillo (where we had the picnic): 20 miles, 16 kilometers, or 10 minutes by car (much more of a direct route than the waterfall).
 
  Lotus Garden also offers canopy tours which take people through the rainforests and surfing lessons.
 
  Don't forget to say Hi! to the SLOTH that lives there and make time to stop by the reggae club and dance by the ocean (very romantic)
 
  Have great time, this is one of the most romantic destinations I know.
          
  Directions: Jordan's Jacuzzi Suites is located on the main road in Puerto Viejo opposite Salsa Brava. As you head into town from the north, you will go through the main area and it is on the right, just as you are heading out of town towards Cocles.
